Dear Members,

Our Court Case against Distance Education in Physiotherapy is now adjourned to 28th April 2008 The reply from DEC and Govt of India has to be filed in the court. The post facto approval granted to some of the Deemed Universities by the UGC is subject to the condition laid down by UGC (List of conditions is mentioned in page two of the letter communicated to those Deemed Universities)However the UGC approval is again subject to Distance Education Council’s (IGNOU) approval which is yet to be granted for these Courses. The Court has directed the DEC to file the reply and the status through Govt of India and two months time given for he same. We need to wait for next hearing on28th April 2008.
