PRESIDNT'S MESSAGE
MyDear IAPMembers,

I am sure by now most of us are heading towards for the upcoming 49 IAP Annual
Conference in Pune which is being held at “Marriott Pune Hotel and Convention Centre”
th
inaugurated as the 500 Marriott Hotel in the world.
Pune the “City of youth”, a power house of knowledge the theme of our conference fits it perfect….. “Teach,
Train andTreat….. the scientific way”!!!
Teaching to achieve high performance and excellent results.We should always aim for excellence in all areas and
we must do everything to achieve this aim. It is our vision that defines this aim and inspires us to provide
outstanding quality and service to our patients always. Innovation is a cornerstone of our success. Research and
development being a part of our profession. Our aim is to be trendsetters in all our endeavours.
400 Physios made us proud by being directly or indirectly involved with the games at different centers of the
Common Wealth Games and 38 Physiotherapists were posted at different Common Wealth Games centers for
treating the sportsmen.
I have personally met many Members of Parliament including All India Congress Committees General
Secretary Shri Digvijay Singh And our Honorable Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad in regards to our
Independent Central Council Bill.
I request all Physios to use their sources andmeet Lok SabhaMembers and to HealthMinistry to bring changes as
said by the Parliamentary Committee report and place it in the Parliament.
I request all the dynamic active IAP members who have a vision for the profession and not for personal gain to
please come forward and take part in the next IAP election, for which details are available on our website
www.physiotherapyindia.org and in the IAP newsletter. Requesting all the IAPmembers to vote for their desired
candidates.
I would like to thank Pune Pimpri Chinchwad IAP branch and Dr.Meenakshi Pandit with her Organizing
Committee for taking up this responsibility with a smile and I have full faith that they would do justice in making
all the IAPmembers comfortable.
Looking forward to see a gargantuan gathering at Pune…
