- Physiotherapists working under the administrative control of the department of health were declared Gazetted on 6 September 1978. (Sankalp 1 / P1-014/77-3308)
- Establishment of an independent college of physiotherapy in the name of Bihar college of Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy, government of Bihar on 29-03-1998.
- Bihar school of physiotherapy and occupational therapy declared to have the same status as Medical and Dental College. (1/M-1-50/98130(1)/Health dated 07-04-1999.
- Rules to regulate appointments and service conditions for physiotherapists in teaching cadre were formed and vide notification numbers- 208(11), dated 15-05-2014.
- Age of retirement of physiotherapist under government of Bihar is increased from 60 years to 67 years. (2017
