Brief History & Demographic Information- Haryana

Haryana is the state which was carved out  of punjab on 1st November 1966 as the 17th Indian state and as we all know that Haryana is a state which is famous for the the land of milk, hookah and khaat. It is one of the most healthiest state of India. There is major occupations are in the field of agriculture and several famous historic battles were found out here including Mahabharat and three battles of Panipat. In Haryana , Gurgaon which officially called gurugram, is a city located in Northern Indian state of Haryana which  is also known as historic land of Dronacharya .Haryana is a historical land of Bhagwat Gita. Another factor which is green revolution is a major part of Haryana. Green revolution brought a quantum jump in the food production of Haryana. Began in 1960s green revolution played a significant role in making India self sufficient in food production. Earlier dependent on food imports to feed the huge population the country started exporting food gram in 1982  and in this remarkable journey Punjab and Haryana played a major role and become food basket of the country. when we talked about dairy and Farming so as our honourable chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said Haryana is the second largest production of milk in India. According to the 2011 census total population of Haryana 25,350,000 in which Hindus (87.46%) Muslims (7.0 3%) and Sikhs 4.91 percent.
