Subject: Show Cause Notice for repeated Defamatory Statements against “The Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).
Dear Dr. Mohammad Anamul Haque,
1. It has been brought to the notice of the Central Executive Committee ("CEC") of The Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) that you have, on several occasions, published, uploaded, circulated, and promoted certain statements, allegations, posts, writings, photographs, videos and other materials through your Facebook account and other social media platforms/accounts operated and/or controlled by you.
2. The aforesaid materials, which are available on your social media accounts and other online platforms, are alleged to contain false, baseless, misleading, fabricated and defamatory statements against The Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), its elected office bearers and its members.
3. The said publications and communications have allegedly caused serious prejudice to the reputation, goodwill and standing of the Association, both within India and internationally, and have adversely affected the credibility and professional image of the Association and the physiotherapy profession. If the allegations are found to be true, such conduct may amount to misconduct and may be in violation of the Constitution, Rules and Regulations, Code of Ethics, and other disciplinary provisions applicable to members of The Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
4. The Central Executive Committee views the aforesaid allegations with utmost seriousness, as such conduct may adversely affect the credibility, integrity, and professional reputation of the Association and the physiotherapy profession.
5. Accordingly, disciplinary proceedings have been initiated, and you are hereby called upon to submit your explanation and show cause as to why appropriate action should not be taken against you in respect of the aforesaid allegations.

6. You may appear in person before the Enquiry Committee and submit your explanation along with any documents, records, or other material that you may wish to rely upon in support of your defence. You may also submit a written explanation before the date of the enquiry or at the time of the enquiry.
7. In case you fail to appear before the Enquiry Committee without sufficient cause or fail to submit your explanation, the Enquiry Committee shall be entitled to proceed exparte and submit its recommendations to the Central Executive Committee on the basis of the material available on record.
8. Please note that, without prejudice to the present disciplinary proceedings, the Association reserves its right to take such civil and/or criminal action as may be available in law, if deemed necessary, in respect of the acts complained of.
9. This notice is issued without prejudice to all rights, remedies, and actions available to The Indian Association of Physiotherapists under its Constitution, Rules and Regulations, and applicable law.
10. The links to the posts/materials circulated by you through your Facebook account and other social media platforms, including Facebook account is Md Anam(Proud Indian), Instagram physio.indian, anam_zaidan.
You are advised to treat this matter as MOST URGENT.
