sufficient tomeet up with all this? Also we are ready for all the legal expenses for the profession. We
are even paying 3 to 5 lakhs whatever it is. It is only for your day to day activities and for that 2% is
sufficient Sir. This is meant just for your running branch. We do not want any problem even in these
funds. For that IAP is always there to spend.
Dr. Arindam (L-15025)- Sir, I have one query, legal expenses including all the lawyer's expenses or
only the appearance fees of the lawyer? Like consultancy and all?
Dr. Jha- it is for all the lawyer's expenses. See we should keep two things in mind, two years from
now how are we going to move ahead. See a branch can organise a conference or a workshop, IAP
will provide a list of people those who can conduct a workshop. Some part of money from there will
go. Women cell conducts a workshop that money will also go to you. I do agree that 2% is a bit less,
if our committee will say we can increase it to 5% of the gross amount. If we do now, it will last for
years. It will not change so easily. Fromhere it is going to quote directly. Sowe have to finalise.
Dr. Jha - SoWe are passing thememorandumwith unanimous support, any objection,
No. Objection from any one, So, Memorandum is passed with full support and unanimous
agreement.
NowWe canDiscuss any other matter.
Yes Dr.Soumya Please say
Dr. Soumya- Our regular activities, were being carried on before. But from last one year, regular
activities through IAP is on halt, still we are working through our own Tripura Physiotherapy
society. But still we need IAPstate branch there, to continue our regular activities.
Dr. Jha- I believe Dr. Misra always get associated with Tripura and Dr. Joji is there, so both of them
should answer this, whywe are not creatingTripura state branch?
Dr. Misra- Dr. Soumya we are closely observing the situation in Tripura. We are verymuch aware of
it. Right now we have not find any grounds to make a separate state branch, but we are in the
process. Soon myself and Joji sir will be visiting Tripura, and we will do the needful. Not to worry
about it.
Dr. Joji- Sir I want to ask as we had a discussion in Shimla GB about all the IAP members having
medical insurance, still it is not on the floor and if there is any plan to do, because even after 60 years
of services our members are not getting insured by the association.
Dr. Jha- Sir I tell you that giving an insurance to all the members of IAP was my dream since Pune
conference. Dr. Deepak is also here andwe had discussed that time also about giving insurance to all
the IAPmembers, so that time Deepak Sir said he doesn't need it. But now I request Deepak sir to do
something in this regards. All the larger organisations in the world have insurances. So our treasurer
and some of the members from the floor can surely discuss about it and come up with a solution.
That I had got a good insurance proposal from ICICI and that time we were some 35-36000, and
they were giving some 78-80/- insurance charges per year for 2 lakh rupees insurance. We can work
on it if our members.
Dr. Misra- we are alreadyworking in this direction.
